William D. McIntyre Memorial Scholarship
The Johnson County Democratic Party sponsors scholarships for graduating seniors in Johnson County. The William D. McIntyre Memorial Scholarship awards $500 scholarships to at least two JC graduating seniors each year that can be used to cover education-related costs such as tuition, books, and housing. The scholarship memorializes Kaycee resident, Bill McIntyre and, although being offered by the JC Democrats, political party affiliation is not a consideration in making scholarship awards.
Funds will be disbursed upon proof of enrollment, which needs to be submitted no later than August 1.
Bill McIntyre exemplified community awareness and community involvement. He lived a life of service to others and valued the hard work and the wide variety of educational pursuits of young people as they progress toward their career goals. Bill was Chairman of the Johnson County Democratic Party for several terms and was an inspirational force for promoting all things that would benefit the community and country. It is out of respect for Bill and his outstanding leadership that this scholarship was created.
